The Service Status Notice reads:
Following Thursday’s (07/11/13) weather disruption on the Oban – Coll/Tiree service, there will be an additional sailing on Friday 8th November as per the following timetable; Depart Oban – 07:15 Arrive Tiree – 11:00 Depart Tiree – 11:20 Arrive Coll – 12:30 Depart Coll – 12:40 Arrive Oban – 15:40 Any intending traffic is advised to book/rebook. The vessel departed Tiree at 11:45. Her ETA in Coll is 12:50. Calmac Ferries apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
I can not resist going to pier to see a friend board the ferry and to say “Goodbye” to MV Hebridean Isles until early in 2014. After yesterday’s squalls the sea is relatively calm and the ferry has little problem in coming into the pier. Nevertheless boarding for the foot passengers is by the link-span as opposed to the gangway.
So well done CalMac for this additional sailing!
