Tiree: Milton Harbour

It’s taken a year to get here, but the visit made an ideal start to our second year. We previously visited the harbour late one evening in 2011, when spending a week’s holiday on Tiree.  Having visitors staying with us gave us an ideal opportunity to take the camera on an outing and it really enjoyed itself.

Milton Harbour, like many of the other small harbours on the island, was built in 1847 to help develop fishing. Since then the harbour has been enlarged and is used mainly by lobster and crabbing boats.

So come explore Milton . . . if you want a slideshow of larger pictures double click on one of the photographs …
