Weather and ferries are recurring themes, yet both are important to island life, especially when the island in question is Tiree, which is the most westerly of the Inner Hebrides. The weather today has been almost unbelievable, better by far than many a Summer’s day. As the ferry entered Gott Bay the sun was setting in the west. The glow was reflected by the waters of the bay and by the Mighty Clansman. With only two more Tuesday sailings before the winter timetable begins it was a sight not to be missed and recorded.
