With winds gusting to 39mph and the sunrise hidden by dark grey clouds, the MV Clansman berthed at Tiree’s rain soaked pier. The special Hogmanay sailing departed Oban at 5.45am with an ETA at Tiree of 9:05am. Once again the Clansman coped admirably with the prevailing conditions of wind and swell. Although lightly loaded today’s sailing provided a vital service for the island’s residents and visitors. Here’s hoping the plane is able to land!
