Scarinish Point (Rubh An Sgoir Mhoir) is right on our doorstep and what treasure it is. With the afternoon sun having broken through the cloud cover we took a walk down the pier and returned home via Rubh An Sgoir Mhoir. Passing the Noust, the brand new boat house of the Tiree Maritime Trust, we gained the headland. Immediately we regretted not bringing the camera. Still, we did have the camera on the mobile phone. Across the blue waters of the Passage of Tiree is the Isle of Mull and Treshnish Isles. Yet, at our feet were so many treasures. There were tall yellow irises, minute flowers, bog cotton and so many more wild flowers. Moreover the headland opened up fresh vistas on the Passage. And all this our doorstep.
