Rewind and Recall

The weekend just gone was characterised
by dramatic cloud formations and striking sunsets.
Our visitors were impressed by our big skies and Sunday’s sunset.

Knowing there were some large yachts anchored in Gottt Bay
we began our walk in the company of our visitors down by the pier
and with the sun just beginning its descent there was a monochrome effect.

Going down from the Post Office to the Old Harbour the setting sun was behind us.
It highlighted some of the stonework of the old pier and coloured the water.
The coloured craft adding to the effect.

Down by the old harbour our visitors were busy with the cameras on their phones.
Looking back to the post office the water was taking on the colour of the setting sun.
Across by the Lighthouse, the grass and sheep were taking on the shades of sundown.

Heading back towards home the sky almost looked on fire.
The skyline over Scarinish and Ben Gott was transformed.
Camera-Phone memory cards were being filled.

Finally the sun dropped down behind the horizon.
We were left with the gloamin’.
To be appreciated.

Lastly just a few reminders to help recall Saturdays clouds and sunset.
Just different – but no less impressive.

‘Life on Tiree’ rewinding, recalling and remembering a colourful weekend sky.
