Stepping Out on Tiree

Before the wee blow arrived on Saturday afternoon
and continued through the night into Sunday
the Step Out Team flew out.

They spent a week on the island
working with members of the Baptist Church
in holding a Holiday Bible Club at their premises in Baugh.

Each morning Monday to Friday
they met with about 25 P1s to P7s
in a fun-filled club called Mega Makers.

Then in the evening they met for Encounter
with about 10 P6s to S2s at Baugh
There were games, laughs
and serious moments.

Hospitality for the team of 4 was provided by church members.
Much of their time was taken up in and preparing for the clubs.
However, there was time to see something of the island.
There was time to walk the white sand beaches
and time to admire our colourful sunsets.

There were memorable moments.
The sight of eager, excited children’s faces.
Hearing the difference knowing Jesus made in the lives of the team.
Sharing the Good News that Jesus is still alive and loves each one of us.

The church says, “Thanks guys!”
The church  appreciate all who helped in so many ways.
And the church give a great big thanks to all who stood with them in prayer.
