Encore

It may feel like a rerun but no two performances are identical.
Yes! The sun rises and the sun sets every day.
But! Each sunrise and each sunset is unique.
Some days you do not witness it all.
Other days it is dramatic.

Today’s encore was difference from yesterday’s performance.
There were certain similarities but there were also differences.
Even the wind was blowing from a slightly different direction.
The wind yesterday was from the NNE and North.
The wind today is from the North West.
It still had a very cold edge to it –
Especially at the pier!

Simply as the camera caught the sunrise.
Simply as the camera caught the sunrise.

Returning from a late morning walk the sky to the north darkened.
Just before a sharp shower we were treated to a rainbow.
Under the rainbow you may discern a wee white bunnet.
It belongs to she who must wait patiently.
Brisk walks have a habit of interruptions!
Something called photographs.

SAD is a reality.
Wild weather can be exciting.
But grey days for some can be depressing.
Here on Tiree we have our damp, dismal, grey days.
But we have more than our share of dramatic sunrises and sunsets.
I don’t think we have seem so many rainbows as we have witnessed here.

A rainbow spanning the island. Can you spot the wee white bunnet?

This is ‘Life on Tiree’.
Sorry! No visible sunset this evening.

Now watch the video.
